Chase Online – How to Access My Account (2022)

Chase Online
SHARE

Chase online provides some of the best online banking services in the country, but not all of them are available to you by default. For example, if you haven’t yet enrolled in any of Chase’s online services, you won’t be able to access your account online or use the Chase mobile app.

chase online

Luckily, the process for enrolling in Chase’s online services takes just minutes, and once it’s complete, you can view your balances, transfer money between accounts, pay bills, and more from anywhere with an internet connection.

Table of Contents
  • Login Using your Username and Password
  • Sign in Using your Chase Mobile App
  • Create an Advanced Security Question
  • Print Out Your Statements
  • Update Personal Profile Information
  • Use Scan Code Feature on Mobile Devices
  • File a Complaint About Your Bank

Login Using your Username and Password

You’ll need to log in with your username and password. Chase will ask you for additional information, so it’s a good idea to make sure you have all of your information handy. Your username is generally your account number or email address, but contact Chase if you aren’t sure which one it is.

Once you’ve selected that option and entered your password, enter all of your information (addresses, phone numbers, etc.) in order to log in and access your account online.

When logging in for the first time, be sure to write down or print out a temporary password; once logged in, click on forgot password? and follow instructions from there.

Sign in Using your Chase Mobile App

If you’re a Chase customer and have access to your account through a mobile app, try logging in there first. The Chase mobile app is available for iPhone, Android, and Windows users and features many of Chase’s most popular features.

If you’re having trouble signing in with your email address or username, it could be due to one of two reasons: you might not be signed in to your account yet or there may be an issue with Chase’s online sign-in server. Don’t worry—you can take care of both problems quickly!

If you aren’t yet signed in to your account: when prompted, enter your username and password. Then tap or click Sign In. It can take a few seconds for Chase’s sign-in screen to load.

If you haven’t already logged in recently, it could take longer. Be sure that JavaScript is enabled in your browser settings and try again!

Create an Advanced Security Question

Banks often have out-of-wallet security questions that are more difficult for hackers and scammers to access. For example, if you were creating a new PayPal account, rather than asking you your mother’s maiden name or what high school you attended, they might ask what state you were born in or your favorite restaurant growing up.

One bank uses security questions like the street I grew up on or the name of my first pet. That way if someone tries to access your bank account using an old password that has been compromised they’ll be met with a series of difficult questions they can’t find answers to too easily.

Print Out Your Statements

If you have paper statements delivered to your home, it’s easy to lose track of them when they pile up. And sometimes, you may even misplace one. To avoid late payments and any penalties for missing a payment, you should consider printing out each statement as soon as it arrives.

That way, if something does get lost in transit or if there’s an error on your statement (which happens more often than you might think), you can just make sure that your records are accurate and up-to-date by accessing your Chase account online.

It’s easy:

  • Log in to your Chase account online
  • Select a statement from the transaction history page and print.

Update Personal Profile Information

Before you can make Chase Online withdrawals or purchases, you need to log in and update your personal profile information. Some of your personal information includes your name, address, phone number, and social security number.

When it comes time to make transactions, that information is needed so that we can verify your identity. If you have forgotten any of these details (and don’t know how they are registered with Chase),

Use Scan Code Feature on Mobile Devices

The Chase Mobile app has a convenient scan code feature. If you’re out and about, but need to make an online payment or check your account balance, open up your mobile device and just point it at the QR code above.

It will take you directly to where you need to go. This is also useful for when you’re shopping around for low rates on loans.

File a Complaint About Your Bank

If you’re having trouble with your bank and want to file a complaint, go directly to your bank first. You can find contact information on your monthly statement or on your bank’s website.

If they are unable or unwilling to help, you may need to contact a regulatory agency, like The Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) or The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
