With Easter just a few days from now and I hope are prepared for the themed products and events all. Even our favorite social media, Snapchat, is ready to give us something for the season too.
Every year the social networking giant gives us Easter egg hunt, called the Great Snapchat Egg Hunt. Despite being at home due to COVID-19 pandemic it was still really amazing. The big question is will Snapchat do it again this year?
What is the Snapchat Easter Egg hunt All About?
Egg hunt on Snapchat brings all round fun to the app. The egg hunt is very similar to Pokemon Go, where players go to particular locations to catch Pokemon. In this case, players make use of their mobile devices to location services to track down eggs through Snapchat’s Snap Map.
Using your Snap app’s camera, you’ll be able to spot virtual eggs pop up on the map as you move around. In this case, users hunt for eggs in real life to collect as many points as possible. Colored eggs are worth 1 point, while shiny eggs are worth 5 points each.
It’s not clear whether or not this year’s hunt would be real or virtual. When you’re close to an egg on Snap Map, just tap on it to collect it. Still on your Easter hunt you can come across “chicks,” when you tap on one, a mini-game opens up and you stand a chance to win an 10 extra points.
Will There Be An Easter Egg Hunt 2021?
Snapchat hasn’t made any official announcements about a 2021 version of the game. If there’s an announcement, it’s most likely it going to to be closer to the actual Easter holiday. The company released last year’s notice on the first day of the event so we can assume that any updates will be published around March 31st.
