Miscarriage is the extirpation of pregnancy which happens spontaneously due to fetus loss before the pregnancy is 4 months and 2 weeks old. This is because, during this 20 weeks period, the fetus is still in the formation process and hasn’t really gained any solid form. Now note, it isn’t something that happens on purpose. If the termination of the pregnancy is done on purpose, then it is called abortion. Lots of potential mothers have been victims of this in one way or the other. Some even before they ever discovered they actually had conceived. Though, the truth is, some of these women are actually responsible for their Miscarriages due to their recklessness and oblivious nature.

Miscarriage For the fact that one is a victim of this doesn’t in anyway mean that she won’t be able to conceive again. Neither does it mean she is infertile nor have reproductive issues. At least statistics have shown that over 80% of woman who had miscarriages still end up conceiving and giving birth later. So don’t get worried if you are a victim. Causes of Miscarriage

Funny enough, before Miscarriage happens, it is possible to get some notifications in your body as a woman. That we will brief you in the next header. Even if we say it is spontaneous, it can also be cause by a couple of things which must be taken at heart in case you find yourself having any of them. The causes are as follows:

  • Abnormalities in the uterine
  • Being diabetes
  • Having infections
  • Hormonal imbalance
  • Cervical weakness
  • Disorders in Thyroid
  • Disorder in blood clotting
  • Response of the immune system
  • Excessive intake of Caffeine
  • Alcoholism and drug abuse

Too much stress also contributes to this sometimes. The baby is in the development process and the slightest thing can cause an alteration in the pregnancy especially when you are is in your first trimester. At this point, you as a woman have to do regular exercises. Not just the one you feel like but as advised by your Doctor. You also need more rest at this stage. Journeying through routes that have lots of gallops can also terminates pregnancy because of continuous vibrations which may be disturbing.

Also, Miscarriages tend to occur more when a woman is 35 and above. This is why we advise conceiving earlier.

Symptoms of Miscarriage

Before the occurrence of Miscarriage, it is very possible to get warning flags. The problem is, after getting them, we tend to ignore them because we feel they are pains which comes with pregnancy. The truth is, not all symptoms are actually associated with pregnancy. Some are on the drive to terminate the pregnancy. So you must be warned against this. Below are the symptoms of pregnancy:

  • Serious Cramps
  • Progressive bleeding
  • Pains especially at the back
  • Weakness
  • Weight loss
  • Fever
  • Decrease in pregnancy signs
  • Tissues coming out from the vagina

After getting any of these symptoms, it is very important you see your doctor before it escalates.

Miscarriage Prevention

Some say miscarriages can’t be prevented but that’s not really true. The healthier you are when pregnant, the slight chances of Miscarriage you will have. From the causes stated above, you will observes some physical factors which cause Miscarriage. This means some physical precautions can also be taken against this. They are;

  • Doing regular exercise
  • Avoid alcohol, smoking and drug abuse
  • Stress management
  • Healthy eating
  • Daily intake of Folic acid
Missed Miscarriage

As interesting as it may sound, it is possible to have a miscarriage without knowing. This is what Missed Miscarriage is about. I know you are used to seeing instant bleeding when a Complete Miscarriage occurs but it isn’t in all cases. The Missed type is a silent kind which doesn’t give any sign of pregnancy termination of any kind. The embryo inside your body is dead but you haven’t expelled it. This type can’t be discovered until you go for an ultrasound test which will then indicate that the loss of fetal heart beat. There are other types of miscarriages also which include:

  • Complete miscarriage
  • Incomplete miscarriage
  • Recurrent miscarriage
  • Threatened miscarriage

Over the years, couples have feared sex during pregnancy because they felt it may lead to miscarriage. The truth is, it hasn’t yet been proven. Mind you, it advised medically for couples to have sex occasionally when the female is pregnant as it helps in vaginal expansion which makes delivery easier. Lastly, you can attempt conceiving 3 months after miscarriage. It is medically advisable.
