Facebook is making that experience better by offering users the dating feature where you get to meet and reach out to new people from all over. The dating service was released in the US in late 2019, and with the next anticipated release date being 2020 for parts of Europe and Australia.
How Does Facebook Dating Work?
Facebook gives users access to create a separate dating profile that you can access within your Facebook account. You don’t have to be worried because your profile is only visible to those who also have opted into the Dating service. It works exactly like other services dating app you know of or even better than them.
You have the opportunity to pair with other Facebook users who are also into the dating service and meet your specified criteria. Before you can begin any form of communication, you’re expected to “like” each other. But you can also send messages to accompany it.
Facebook Secret Crush
This feature lets you create a list of people you’ll like to interact with on your Facebook friends list. If that secret crush also uses the dating service, they’ll get a notification telling them someone has a crush on them. Facebook won’t leek your name to the person unless that person also added you as a Secret Crush.
To start a conversation with anyone, tap on one of the photos in their profile, and send a message along with your “like.” Wait for their response before exchanging messages.
How do you find Facebook Dating?
If the Facebook Dating app is available in your market, you’ll see the “Dating” option on the menu screen. To activate Facebook Dating, simply tap the heart icon and start building your Dating profile by following the prompts.
